WELCOME TO THE
BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT
WEB SITE

The Bainbridge Township Fire Department proudly protects 11,900 people living in an area of 25 square miles. We operate out of one station that responds to approximately 1,300 fire and emergency medical requests annually. Our department  staffed with part-time members and volunteer "paid on call" supplement. We have an ISO rating of "6" in the areas with hydrants and "9" elsewhere. We are currently being evaluated to reduce these ratings even further.

The Bainbridge Township Fire Department was established by a group of civic minded individuals in 1942. We have since become one of the most active fire departments in Geauga County. Our department is believed to have the first volunteer rescue squad ambulance in Ohio (1950). We are located 26 miles southeast of Cleveland, Ohio where St. Rt. 306 intersects with U.S. 422. Bainbridge Township is a rapidly developing area mostly zoned residential of various economic classes. There are some commercial and industrial areas, too.
